Even attendees that are not really into makeup can be sold on products like body wash, lotion, and pedicure kits. The main things is to make sure that attendees enjoy themselves; during the beginning of the party the emphasis should be not so much on selling as it is on having a good time with friends.

Talking with the hostess to see what kind of activities can be planned is important. Performing makeovers, facials, manicures, and pedicures for a large group will usually require that more than one person be involved in offering the services at the party. If the hostess can be convinced to offer her services to help in this regard it is important to show the proper appreciation in the way of free products and discounts off of future purchases. Keeping catalogs available during the party is a great way to make sure that attendees are aware of all the different products available. Keeping a good selection of items that can be sold at the party is also an excellent way to keep the products in the minds of the attendees even after they return home. You can also take advantage of the fact that many women have purchased makeup and other cosmetics through direct sales in the past to find out ways to improve the quality of your customer service. Ask them what they enjoyed about purchasing through direct sales in the past. If they stop purchasing through a direct sales representative ask them why. If they do not mind sharing you may learn a valuable lesson that can prevent you from making the same mistake that lost a customer for another representative in the past.

Cosmetics direct sales is the most lucrative form of direct sales for a reason. Cosmetics are big business, and women are willing to spend money to buy products that they believe are high quality. Channeling the need to feel beautiful into sales takes practice, but if you believe in the products that you are offering you can turn cosmetics direct sales into a lucrative business opportunity.
