While this kind of direct selling gained popularity later, it has moved up past many other products to hold on to a significant section of the direct sales markets. If you choose to get into candle direct sales what are some things to keep in mind in order to maximize your success in selling this particular product?

Candle direct sales are especially well suited to having a direct sales party. The idea behind candles and related products is to set a relaxing atmosphere within the home, so during the home party the emphasis needs to be laid on the importance of relaxation. Most companies involved in the direct sale of candles require the purchase of a starter kit. The starter kit will contain a variety of different types of candles along with decorative holders and other products that can be used to create a relaxing atmosphere. Many sales representatives choose to include relaxing activities like massages, scrubs, and pedicures as a part of the direct sales home party. These activities all subtly create within attendees a desire to replicate the activities they are engaging in within their own home.

During the presentation part of the party it is important to lay emphasis on the fact that it does not take much to create a relaxing atmosphere within the home. As with any direct sales laying too much emphasis on only the very expensive products can dissuade customers more than it encourages. Instead at the end of the party encourage the attendees to think about the element that they most enjoyed about the party. What one or two products could they purchase to bring those relaxing elements into their home? Now that the seed has been planted you can give the attendees the opportunity to look over the full range of products offered. For candle direct sales home parties it is a good idea to bring at least some candles along that can be purchased immediately at the party and then taken home.

Offering incentives, usually in the form of free items is key to every line of direct sales. Customers like bonus products; it encourages them to come back. Giving a small scented candle to every attendee will ensure that each and every attendee is still thinking about your products even after they return home.

The initial costs of purchasing a starter kit varies from company to company, and there are actually a few companies that do not require a starter kit. The companies that do not require a starter kit though will usually require that the new representative sign up for some form of candle of the month membership. Every direct sales organization wants some indication of your level of commitment to selling their products. If you are passionate about relaxation and want to share the benefits of relaxation with others than direct sales of candles and products are an excellent direct sales avenue for you to enter.
